"My collages reflect upon the inherent strangeness and consequent abstraction of urban imagery; they explore an environment that is geometric in theory, but often chaotic and organic in reality. Cut-paper reinforces an emphasis on abstract form, while creating and obscuring spatial depth. The homespun, crafty associations of the material are in juxtaposition with the would-be cold urban source imagery."
